Doi Ilish

Ingredients:

1 cup Curd
250 gm Hilsa fish
1 tbsp Mustard Paste                         
1 tsp Ginger Paste
3 Green Chillies
1 tsp Kalonji seeds
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
1 tbsp Mustard Oil
Salt to taste

Method:

1.Cut,Wash and pat dry  the fish pieces.
2.Rub the pieces with turmeric powder and salt, keep aside for 15-20 minutes.
3.Heat oil in a deep-bottomed pan and slowly slide the fish pieces into the oil, fry the fish until turns to light golden yellow.
4.When done, remove the fish and drain excess oil on a paper towel.
5.In a bowl mix the curd with the mustard paste.
6.In the same oil, add the kalonji seeds and green chillies,fry until pops up.
7.Add the ginger paste and curd mixture with salt, mix well..
8.Simmer the mixture for a couple of minutes and add half cup of water, bring to a boil.
9.Add the fish pieces and cook until the gravy thicken or reaches to desired consistency.
10.Serve hot with rice.
